Single Championships and Events The Club Championship Singles finals were held last Saturday and it was a beautiful day for tennis. No wind, cloudless day but not too hot, perfect conditions. Many spectators were there to watch the thrilling finals between Gitte Dibley and Susan Fulton contesting the Ladies event and Peter Dibley and Arthur Hopkins contesting the Men's event. The winners of the matches being Gitte Dibley and Peter Dibley. Congratulations to all contestants. On the Saturday evening the Club held its Xmas Party and there was a record attendance with over 60 enjoying a bbq. The Club will soon be expanding with three extra tennis courts, perhaps we will needed new clubrooms as well to cope with the ever growing numbers attending the social functions! It is a busy time for Club members with their major fundraising event 'The Great Summer Art Exhibition' starting just after Christmas. Do come and see the Exhibition in the Community Centre at Snells Beach. It is a great place to wile away a couple of hours".
