The Great Summer Art Exhibition has proven endurance and worth and together we can make 2010/2011 one of the best. We expect there will be over 150 artists exhibiting between 1 and 4 paintings each.The 17th Annual Art Exhibition will be held in the Snells Beach Community Centre starting with the preview on Tuesday 28th December 2010 and continuing through until noon on Monday 3rd January 2011.
Information for exhibitors
Exhibitors are invited to participate, by entering work for sale at the exhibition, which provides for a large well-laid out display.An opening preview with a wine and nibbles will be held on Tuesday 28th December 2010 starting at 7:00 p.m. for which tickets will be sold in advance, and at the door, for $10. This will entitle the ticket holders to one free drink. Exhibitors will receive complimentary tickets. Prizes will be awarded during this evening and it is hoped that Artists, placed in their categories, will be available to receive their prize.
The Exhibition will be open to the public on Wednesday 29th December 2010 from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. until Monday 3rd January 2011 when it will close at 12 noon.
Entry conditions are $10 including GST per piece hanging fee and a 20% commission on any sales. Paintings will be restricted to size in area of 1 square metre (frame included) this includes Tryptich pictures. All paintings displayed will be subject to judging and must be for sale, at a price that reflects the painting. All pieces of art must be from the artist's own work. Entries will be restricted by the following criteria:
- Maximum of 4 paintings
- Cash prizes will be offered in each class. A prize will also be awarded for the most popular painting by public vote over the entire Exhibition

- Written registration with fees must be received no later than 28th November 2010
Please ensure that your painting/s has/have a name and a price. - Please make cheques payable to Great Summer Art Exhibition.
- All pieces of art must be framed, titled, and priced and must have D rings and cords attached.
- Not all paintings will be necessarily accepted for display.
- Registered paintings must be delivered to the Mahurangi Community Centre between 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. Tuesday 28th December 2010
- Sold paintings will be available to the buyer at 12 noon Monday 3rd January 2011.
- Cheques for paintings sold will be posted before 20th January 2011
- Unsold paintings must be reclaimed 12.00 a.m. Monday 3rd January 2011. Please no late pick ups.
- Insurance during the Exhibition is the responsibility of the Artist.
